Riley B. King znany jako B. B. King (ur. 16 wrze¶nia 1925 Indianola MS) - afro-amerykański gitarzysta i ¶piewak bluesowy. Jeden z najwybitniejszych przedstawicieli gatunku. Został obdarzony nieformalnym tytułem King of Blues - "król bluesa". Muzyka Kinga, bardzo oszczędna lecz głęboko emocjonalna zaliczana jest do stylów Memphis Blues, Modern Electric Blues i Soul Blues. B.B. King w czasie swej długiej kariery stał się nestorem sceny bluesowej. także wielu muzyków bluesowych i rockowych ro¶ciło sobie prawo do wywodzenia swych korzeni w muzyce Kinga - jedni z pełnym uzasadnieniem, inni bez. Nagrywanie muzyki z Kingiem taktowane było jako otrzymanie błogosławieństwa i legitymację
prawdziwego bluesmana. Nic więc dziwnego, że King stał się cennym muzykiem studyjnym oraz często zapraszanym do współpracy jako współwykonawca.
